Rockbrook 2019

I have just finished my masters degree studying sport and exercise physiology at the University of Chichester in England (my home country). This is my first time in America and at a summer camp which I am really looking forward too!

Hi! I’m Lia, and I’m a rising sophomore at Hollins University. I was a camper for three years, and I’m very excited and grateful to start my first summer as a counselor at Rockbrook. I’m so thrilled to meet all of this summer’s wonderful campers!

I am a Sophomore at Florida State University double majoring in Family & Child Sciences and Psychology. I hope to become a child psychologist that focuses on depression, anxiety, trauma, and more. I enjoy working with children, watching movies, binge watching shows, writing poetry, photography, and listening to music.

Hey y’all! I’m Ruth and I’m from Atlanta, but I now consider Brevard my second home. I am so excited to work at Rockbrook again this year, and I can’t wait to spend my 9th summer at camp. As a former camper, I find it so fulfilling to be able to help create the spirit of camp that made me fall in love with Rockbrook, even if that’s just spending a chill twilight sitting on the hill.
This year I am working on the climbing staff (it rocks!), but I’m always down to jump into my favorite refreshing lake or attempt a crazy friendship bracelet pattern. I am going to the University of Georgia in the fall, but I know the summer after senior year could never be complete without friendship bracelets, s’mores, and amazing friends. See you in the heart of the wooded mountain!

A big hello to all you lovely ladies of RBC! I am beyond excited to be coming back to Rockbrook for my 4th summer, and my first year on staff! I live in the UK, and I love telling all my friends at home about how awesome camp is because they don’t have summer camps over there! (CRAZY, I know).

I went to the University of Glasgow studying Neuroscience for 1 year but have just taken this year out to work and travel and I hope to be returning to education in September to study Psychology.

At camp you can find me on the porch sitting on the red rocking chairs making bracelets or reading a book. I love mail time as well! Finding an unexpected letter or handmade crafts in your box is the BEST! I’m so excited to return to the wonderful community that RBC is and I can’t wait to meet all of you this summer and laugh our days away :))

Hello all!! I am so excited to start my first summer at Rockbrook. Through my entire life, I have been an enthusiastic swimmer leading me to become a collegiate athlete. I have spent countless hours enjoying the wonders of the water and can’t wait to share my love for the water with the campers. This summer, I am looking forward to every educational, fun, silly, and serious moment with the girls, forming bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.

Hey everyone!! I am so excited to be a full counselor this summer. I have dreamed about being a counselor since my first year as a middler. Last summer was my first on staff and it was amazing to be behind the scenes. I was able to help create the magic of camp for so many young girls. Working with children has always been a passion of mine: from nannying to working with children in third world countries. I just graduated from high school right outside of Atlanta and will be attending Clemson in the fall. But before that, I need my afternoons in the lake, goofy meals, and camp fires with a lot of singing!!

Hi!! So excited to be coming back for my second summer at Rockbrook! I will be attending college in Chicago in the fall, but not before I take a quick stop in Ireland. This summer you can catch me on the junior line, at the lake, or trying to master the newest knot trick. So looking forward to a summer of campers, friendship bracelets and dewcoats.
